Does anyone know of any articles of people saving others by predicting severe weather by studying the clouds?

I could’ve sworn I read an article a few years back of a little girl who was at the beach and she predicted a bad storm that was coming by studying the clouds. I can’t find it anywhere though and I need some stories of this nature for a speech.
Where I live in the prairies – Saskatchewan, Canada – as soon as the clouds start to turn gray or black we definitely know there is a serious storm coming. When we see this we protect ourselves by getting inside our homes as quick as possible. Just looking at clouds or the farmers here believe in the Almanac in most cases it’s 99% right on.
