I think this is what you want:
With the article/page showing in your browser, go to top line of browser to “File” > Save> then direct it to whatever folder you want it in.
Copy and paste the article into a Word document (or similar) and save that. Or, you can save the HTML file by clicking on File > Save while you’re in your browser, although this may create a lot of unnecessary files.
and if what dunbar pappy suggest doesn’t work here is another possible solution. on the web page with the article click and drag to highlight what you want to save. if you get a little more than you want it can be edited out. with the article highlighted “copy” that information and “paste” it into a word processing document. you should, then, be able to edit and save to whatever location you choose
Simple: File>Save As…>(choose where you want to save it), (chose Save as type: web archive, single file)>click Save.
Why web archive and not web page complete one may ask? Because when you save as web page comlete you’ll get two files in that folder: one with web page and one with “stuff” composing that page. after a while that folder gets rally mess to clean up.
Try, experiment.
Cheers!

Generally (and I am not computer savvy),
I block the article with (edit, select all),
Then, hit edit, copy
Open a blank Word document
Hit Edit, then paste
(if the page has ads, you will unfortunately get those too)
Good luck
