I am doing research on orphans around the world that scavenge for trash in the many landfill, trash dumps, etc. I have found perfect newspaper articles and cannot save/copy/paste these articles to my own file uner My Documents. How do I do it.

Scan it with a scanner, if you don’t have one you can do it at kinkos just bring a blank cd or memory stick, they can help you from there.

Im assuming youve scanned em and are having trouble copying them? it all depends on what program is the default text program. Open using word or even take a screen cap shot and save in PSP as a .jpg. That may work?

    Depending on your operating system:
Example: using vista, windows xp do this. Go to the page you want to save..or the article and click on FILE then click SAVE AS and YOU choose the file you want to save it too. IF you aren’t sure WHERE you want it I recommend you save it to your DESKTOP and you can find it easier.

You can also HIGHLIGHT the articles ONLY and RIGHT CLICK and choose COPY – then OPEN an editor such as NOTE PAD (which comes with ALL computers) and then click PASTE. You can then save it to my documents. Choose a NEW FOLDER and name it something you will remember. Like: RESEARCH or LANDFILL.

select document u want to copy, select it the whole thing pressing CTL+ A, after doing that right click in the select area, click copy, now just open the document, it could be word document, note pad, word pad, right click there and click paste, or press CTR +V

Where did you find the article? Hard copy newspaper or on the web? If the it is from hard copy, you may be able to find the article from their website. From the web pages, you can high light the contents, copy and paste into your Word or notepad file. You need to open your new files first and then high light, copy > then paste to your open file.
